Another award for our literary group - 3rd prize for her poem "Disciples of Dawn"

Poetess Vassiliki Ergazaki, member of our Literary Workshop, was distinguished with the 3rd Prize for Poetry, for her poem "Disciples of Dawn" in the 1st International Literary Contest held by the Group of Friends of Greek Culture in Stuttgart (OFEPS), under the auspices of the General Consulate of Greece in Stuttgard to support the organization "To Xamogelo tou Paidiou"  ("The Smile of the Child").

The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, 17 February  at the hall of the Organization of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Athens.

The judging panel granted the awards in a pleasant atmosphere, pointing out that the purpose of this event is to make known to Germany and abroad that Greece is Culture and not was is being presented during this period of time.

During the event, was also stressed how important it is to insist on the preservation and dissemination of the Greek language and culture through poetry and literature.

The ceremony was attended by members of our Literary Workshop, men of literature and artists from all over Greece and abroad.

The winning poem, in Greek language, follows below:

Μαθητές της Αυγής

Μια στιγμή… ας περάσω τα όρια

να βρεθώ στα ζεστά περιθώρια

της καρδιάς τους

Που μου φέρνουν στη χούφτα μια θάλασσα

και τη βάζουν στους κύκλους ανάμεσα

Μια μικρή συμβολή

στα «καινά» του Θαλή

Μυστικά θεωρήματα

δυο φιλιά, δυο ποιήματα.

Μια στιγμή... ας χαρώ τα γινάτια τους

να αντικρύσω τη σπίθα στα μάτια τους

τα μεγάλα

Που δεν ξέρουν πως χάθηκε η άσκηση

μα υπόσχονται νέα εξάσκηση

Ως την άλλη φορά

θετική διαφορά

Και... υπέροχα σχήματα,

δυο διαβήτες, δυο τρίγωνα.

Μια στιγμή... ας αφήσω τα όμοια

ανθισμένα τους ονειροδρόμια

να γεμίσουν

Που κοιτάζουν κλεφτά το ρολόι τους

κάπου-κάπου τεντώνουν το μπόι τους

Μυθικές προτροπές

των ηρώων ροπές

Και στα χέρια τους ρόπαλα

δυο κοχύλια, δυο βότσαλα.
